My name is Rebecca, though for some time now the general internet has known me as Butters, added variations applicable. As of November 2o1o I will be age 20, female, and hopefully no longer unemployed. Immediate family includes my parents, whom I live at home with, and two older sisters, four and eight years older than me. I also have a brother (twelve days older than me) who, despite being unrelated both in terms of blood and law, is very important to me. My parents are Seventh-Day Adventists; my mother was raised a Catholic in Southern California and my father was raised a Lutheran in Missouri. Despite this religious background (and the relatives and support that comes with it), I consider myself religious, but not really tied to any specific church. I do enjoy the community of my parent's church, and am very grateful for the support and company that our family friends provide. I currently do not have much in the way of life long goals. I could become an author just as much as I could become the owner of a business organization, or a preforming artist or even someone involved in the realm of politics and social sciences. Quite frankly, I'm very fortunate in terms of what I can do, between innate talents and how my parents raised me. However, in terms of what I want to do, I haven't the faintest. Unless you consider wanting a job for the singular purpose of having a job, earning money and simply being in the working world a life-long aspiration. As of right now, I haven't been to school consistantly due to health complications since 9th grade. The more the economy cringes, the more I worry about how my lack of credentials will ruin me, but bad circumstance is bad circumstance. My most outstanding qualities, nonetheless, revolve around a calm, level-headed approach to just about every situation I enter. I have become an extremely logical person out of necessity, but place a great deal of value in emotion and personal feelings, which I think makes for a pretty darn good friend and stranger. My hobbies include singing, writing, and art. Any type of art, really. I have dabbled in paints, sewing, and sculptures, but drawing and photography editing are definitely where most of my inspiration end up. I also am very fond of animals (which doesn't quite work as a hobby, though I do love working with them), and enjoy the outdoors and several sports. My social hobby is online gaming. I currently have a foot in World of Warcraft and a foot in City of Heroes. Mostly, I created Stitched on Sunlight- and not just v4.o but all the previous versions as well- to create a centralized location for all of my stuff. It also provides a good reference for my website-creating skills, but mostly, it displays a good part of who I am. Everything from the design to the writings is me, and given that I'm far more a prolific writer than I am a prolific speaker, it probably explains me better than I ever could verbally. I hope you enjoy what you see, and am very fond of feedback, be it positive or negative. (If it's negative and rude, be warned that I am still young, and thus enjoy a good debate). ![]() |
